Daniel Carter & Evan Louison
God's Faithless Bride
Pilate Navigator PN-05
CD-R

Massive new duo exchange in an edition of only 25 copies between free thinker Daniel Carter on flute, trumpet, alto, tenor and singing and Evan Louison (Extremis, Pilate Navigator et al) on percussion, singing and dancing. A very psychedelic, primitive free jazz set from these two after the tectonic Industrial force of their Extremis date, this one matches very hypnotic slow-motion whirls of drone and throat juggling with psychoactive percussion, an almost Bill Dixon-esque feel for the orchestral implications of wide-open space and some very satisfying urban sound squall that touches on some of the actions of the Meehan/Shiraishi crew. Complex, puzzling, primeval, this is highly recommended. - David Keenan
